Martin: With a rich background spanning 26 years with the UK Special Forces, Martin brings unmatched rigor and precision to his role at EDS. As a skilled drone operator, designer, and builder, he is also our lead in Business Development, driving our strategic vision forward.
Rob: A former RAF fighter pilot, Rob’s expertise in aviation regulation and international sales strengthens EDS’s operational capabilities. As our Business Manager, he ensures our services meet the highest standards of compliance and efficiency.
Theo: Specializing in cyber security and cloud computing, Theo’s tech-savvy approach to drone operation and construction ensures that our projects are secure and data-driven. As EDS’s Project Manager, he oversees the seamless execution of each survey.
Sara: Our team features an expert drone builder with extensive experience in constructing drones, mastering the engineering behind the technology, and specializing in advanced drone programming.
Our Qualifications and Certifications
Our team at EDS is not only experienced but highly trained and certified across all Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) categories—Open, Specific, and Certified. This certification empowers us to operate drones up to 25kg in any airspace, including near the general public. Additionally, our Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) certification allows us to conduct extended-range surveys and access challenging locations efficiently.
Pioneers in our field, we are among the few UK companies that not only build but also self-certify our drones for survey work. This capability enables us to quickly adapt our drone fleet with specialized sensors to meet unique project demands.
